The power of Photoshop is the ability to perform non-destructive editing to pictures, it’ll never eliminate CTRL+Z but at least it means its never too late to revert to an earlier state. This example uses the Dodge & Burn tools to exagerate the highlights and shadows accordingly. Created on different layers that sit above the source image each layer is set to the Dodge or Burn filter respectively and the transparency is set accordingly. The final example takes this one step further and places a photo filter and gradient map over the top. A mask is then used to cut out the window to replace it with something more suitable.
